Your privacy, first.
Helix is private messaging, built on trust. This policy explains in plain terms what we do — and more importantly, what we never do — with your data.
Data we hold
Helix is built for privacy from the ground up. The messages you send are end-to-end encrypted — only you and the people you talk to can read them. We can't see their contents.
The data we do hold is limited to what's needed to run the service: your phone number, your account profile, and the encrypted messages and media required to deliver conversations between your devices.
What we never do
We don't sell your data. We don't read your messages. We don't build advertising profiles from your conversations, and we never contact you for marketing.
Your messages belong to you — not to us, and not to anyone we share with (which is no one).
Encryption in transit and at rest
All traffic between your device and our servers is encrypted in transit using industry-standard TLS. Your message content is further protected by end-to-end encryption between participants.
We hold the minimum required to route your conversations, and we take steps to protect that data at rest.
Your right to delete
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time, directly from the app: Settings → Account → Delete my account.
Deletion is permanent and immediate — your profile, messages, media, and account data are erased. To learn more, visit our delete-account guide.
